A Children's book designed in a minimalist Zen style approach. The idea for this book came out of the consciousness awareness trend that has been coming popular in Western Europe. Seeing as adults are looking for more and more Eastern inspired influences: yoga, meditation, zen, Chinese Medicine, etc. It would seem logical that at some point it would bleed of on the younger generation as well. Aimed to be a refuge of Silence in the Modern Hectic world.
Each part of the eyes would have it's own page with a Haiku to explain the meaning and have a written backside that tells the whole story.
2. Travelers Book
'Een Reis Naar Woudland' (Travelling to the woods). It's a magical fairy tale that has children walk along with several magical creatures: Elves, Unicorns, Witches, and has them solve puzzles and games along the way. I would translate it into a Wizard that travels through the eyes with the children and has them solve mazes and games to find hidden information. Stylistically I like it because it has a Vintage feel to it, that seems harks back to a non-digital era. It feels old and a tad mysterious and I think that children relate to that well. Also it is styled as a suitcase, so you can take it with you. Involving the children directly seems like a great way to heave them learn and retain the information. It's a polar opposite of the Zen concept as it is more figurative and higher in detail.
3. Morgan's House
The third and final Concept is based on A Castle in The Cloud (that I mentioned in the inspirations). Stylistically it would be looking similarly; hand drawn and simplistic. Morgan journeys through her own house in this book and in every room she finds a piece of the puzzle that helps her solve the mystery of how the eyes see color. Like the Zen book it's simple in look but it will be more detailed in terms of story line.
